Under Rose Dehors’s impulse, the quartet nit and dogs invent a crossing between folk wanderings and pop tinged with wild edges. Inspired by Emily Dickinson and Björk, the trombonist crafts a rosary of ballads that sway between warm timbres and glitch-laden magic. Each musician plays with mirrors and counterpoints, weaving synthetic alter-egos into their acoustic voices. Electric jolts and electronic grit unsettle both time and perception. And Lou Ferrand’s voice becomes that of a guide, slipping between worlds, between reality and pixel, between airy harmonies and witch-like loves.
