MARSAVRIL

Supported by: le Petit faucheux

Two attitudes towards disorder: grin and bear it, or dance on the ruins. Released in spring 2023, the double EP, MARS and AVRIL, sound compact, cohesive, and accountable, just like the band does live. An economy of means for a wide range of emotions, their sound is forged by a solid friendship. Formed in spring 2022, MARSAVRIL does what it likes, combining complex structures with a desire to dance. This combo finds BADBADNOTGOOD very, very good, keeps an eye on the paths explored by Makaya McCraven, and drowns numerous influences and original compositions in a personal and unprecedented mix. MARSAVRIL indeed explores a form of purity, beauty, and melancholy, but also an imagination that is humble and stubborn, powerful and warm. The four musicians express their desires at the peak of a music captured on the fly, stolen from the urgency and nostalgia of modern times.
