108 programmers, committed to fostering the emergence and support of jazz and improvised music artists, have just chosen Jazz Migration #8 laureates. After a call for applications which received 63 candidates, it is among 13 pre- selected projects that more than 100 festivals, clubs and national venues chose Haléïs, Ishkero, Mamie Jotax and Noé Clerc Trio, proving the value of Jazz Migration for the jazz and improvised music industry.
Today, the four laureate start a two year long process of artistic and professional support that will lead to a tour in 2023. Thanks to Jazz Migration, these artists will receive the assistance of a network of professionals committed to supporting emerging artists.
This edition is even more important to us since it is the 20th anniversary of this support program. Those last 20 years, Jazz Migration helped some of the most recognized musicians: Vincent Peirani, Emile Parisien, Eve Risser, Théo Ceccaldi, Elodie Pasquier, Fidel Fourneyron, Laurent Bardainne, Leïla Martial, Joachim Florent or Isabel Sörling. We will celebrate this anniversary all along the year and will end 2022 with two special evenings dedicated to this amazing project!
